Meta pixel

We use Meta Pixel on our website, a meta business tool from Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd (Ireland/EU).
Information on the contact details of Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd. and the contact details of the data protection officer of Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd. can be found in the data policy of Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd. at https://www.facebook.com/about/privacy. The meta pixel is a JavaScript code snippet that enables us to track the activities of visitors to our website.
This tracking is called conversion tracking.

Tracked conversions appear in the dashboard of our meta ad manager.
We can use the tracked conversions there to measure the effectiveness of our ads, to define custom audiences for ad targeting, for Dynamic Ads campaigns and to analyze the effectiveness of our website’s conversion funnels.
The functions we use via the meta pixel are described in more detail below.

Google Tag Manager

We use the Google Tag Manager of Google Ireland Limited (Ireland/EU).
Google Tag Manager is used to manage our website tags via an interface.
Google Tag Manager is a cookie-free domain that does not collect or store any personal data.
Google Tag Manager merely triggers other tags, which in turn may collect data without accessing this data themselves.
If a deactivation has been made at domain or cookie level (e.g. via the consent management tool), this remains in place for all tracking tags that are implemented with Google Tag Manager.

Embedded YouTube videos

We embed YouTube videos on some of our websites. The operator of the corresponding plugins is YouTube, LLC, 901 Cherry Ave, San Bruno, CA 94066, USA. When you visit a page with the YouTube plugin, a connection to YouTube servers is established. YouTube is informed which pages you visit. If you are logged into your YouTube account, YouTube can assign your surfing behavior to you personally. You can prevent this by logging out of your YouTube account beforehand. When a YouTube video is started, the provider uses cookies that collect information about user behavior. Google Conversion Tracking is used when you visit this website.
If you reach our website via an ad placed by Google, Google Ads places a cookie on your computer.
The conversion tracking cookie is set when a user clicks on an ad placed by Google.
These cookies lose their validity after 30 days and are not used for personal identification.
If the user visits certain pages of our website and the cookie has not yet expired, we and Google can recognize that the user clicked on the ad and was redirected to the corresponding page.

Embedded Vimeo videos

We embed Vimeo videos on some of our websites.
The operator of the corresponding plugins is Vimeo, LLC, headquartered at 555 West 18th Street, New York, New York 10011.
When you access the web pages of our website that have such a plugin – for example our media library – a connection to the Vimeo servers is established and the plugin is displayed.
This tells the Vimeo server which of our web pages you have visited.
If you are logged in to Vimeo as a member, Vimeo assigns this information to your personal user account.
