The Oetwil am See school accommodates all levels of elementary school in two school units (kindergarten/primary school and secondary school).
Since November 2022, the school buildings “Breiti 1”, “Breiti 2”, the multi-purpose hall “Breiti”, the kindergarten “Breiti” and the service center (DLZ) have benefited from sustainable limescale protection thanks to the Tratson ENK-04 Quattro Power limescale protection device.
Janitor Mr. Thomas Meyer is committed to the smooth running of the school and is responsible for cleaning and maintaining the premises as well as monitoring the technical systems.
As janitor, Mr. Meyer attaches particular importance to creating a clean and healthy learning environment for the pupils.
He has noticed that the limescale protection device makes the water softer and limescale residue is easier to remove.
The quality of the drinking water is particularly important to him, as the pupils consume a lot of water every day.
Mr. Meyer reports: “We have been using the same hot water boiler several times a day for 4-5 years, which I completely descaled and cleaned after installing the limescale protection device. I haven’t had to descale it once since it was installed 6 months ago. That shows me how effectively the system works.”
By using environmentally friendly and eco-friendly alternatives, Mr Meyer is helping to minimize health risks and at the same time make a contribution to environmental protection.

It keeps the drinking water safe for the health of our students and the environment.”
