Remove insulation before installation
Depending on the situation, water pipes may be additionally insulated – especially if the limescale protection device is to be installed on the hot and cold water pipes.
1. identify the installation location
If the device is to be installed on the water pipes to the building, insulation must be removed depending on the situation. Identify the location where the limescale protection device is to be installed (at least 1.1 m above the floor, place the device as close as possible to the pipe.
In our installation example, both the cold and hot water pipes are insulated.
2. remove insulation
Proceed as follows to remove the insulation:
Cut the insulation all around with a sharp knife.
Remove the insulation and ensure that the end cap can continue to be used on the new pipe section.
The end cap can usually be attached to the new pipe section using a cable tie supplied.
Repeat this for the other pipes. In our installation example, we show two pipes from which insulation is removed.
3. continue installation
The installation can now be continued on the exposed cables. Please carry out the steps according to the instructions.
